A notable humanitarian, Angelina Jolie is vociferously supporting Afghan people amid the horrific cries of Afghan girls, youth and women as they have been abandoned hastily to hostility and militancy. The utter chaos, destruction and harrowing tales unroll before our eyes every moment, the shocked and stunned world witness frightened human beings filled with gloom and despair as they face dangerous calamity in their own country.


 UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie, a philanthropist, passionately devoted to helping homeless and forcibly displaced people, who are affected by political tumult around the world. She has rescued, nurtured and helped populace to overcome numerous atrocities meted by the twentieth century barbarians. Jolie travelled extensively for aiding communities amidst major humanitarian crises in difficult and disturbed war zones of the globe.

A reel-life Lara Croft, while shooting for the movie in war torn Cambodia, became aware of the demeaning sexual violence against women by the war preparators and destructive impact of the violent political and ethnic strife. From then on, she began to comprehend the pain and sufferings of people around the world particularly of women and children in the areas of turmoil. Angelina was acutely impacted and mortified by physical, sexual and psychological savagery against women and she took extraordinary steps to protect women’s rights, not only did she strengthen their will to fight and recover but also galvanized the NGO’s to assist them.


The Oscar winner Angelina Jolie has been on more than 40 humanitarian missions, visiting refugee camps in Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Afghanistan, Sudan’s Darfur region, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Kenya, Ecuador, Thailand and few more countries. Jolie, besides being a record donor, ensures to cover her own cost on such missions, has constantly provided for refugee and immigrant children.

Angelina Jolie encountered gross human right violations in Sudan and expressed deep concern about security of malnourished children who had no support and were left to fend for themselves. She was agonized by devastation in Iraq, initiated efforts for stabilization, revival and reconstruction. The more torment Jolie saw on world stage, she became more altruistic, and motivated herself to ameliorate the suffering.

During the war in Bosnia, Angelina was very young to note its implications, however later as she learnt more about global politics, the Balkan conflict etched in her memory and resurfaced as ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey’ a movie she made based on the horrors of that time. Jolie was profoundly overwhelmed by the plight of rape victims, their unquestioned status and horrors of war. She saw the misery of people and heard the cries of extreme distress on the streets of Bosnia. Despite her successful career in crime drama, fantasy, science fiction, dark and violent horror action movies with unique plots, Angelina Jolie professes positive, sympathetic human-centric approach and promotes social reforms for the betterment of society.

A tireless worker, Angelina Jolie made numerous field trips, comforted, consoled and supported asylum seekers and raised public awareness of human rights amongst the masses. She started a humanitarian foundation which highlights the importance of education, health, freedom and human rights. Jolie continues to assist people who are affected by poverty, struggles, suffering, cruelty and inhumanness, she has also done copious amount of challenging work in Venezuela, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Jolie even took flying lessons as she meant to provide relief and assistance by ferrying aid workers and deliver stocks of food among sufferers around the world.


A special envoy to UN, Angelina Jolie is raising her voice against the present administration for betrayal and hasty decision of leaving Afghans in horrific and torturous situation. The innocent human lives woke up to a ghastly nightmare and their survival now absolutely depends on barbaric, immoral and inhuman customs of the ruthless rulers. Needless to say, the trusted defenders were mute and frustratingly indifferent, left the young girls, teenagers and women in fear and uncertainty.

As the violence and harsh diktats of Taliban continue at unthinkable level, the hapless Afghan people with bleak and dark future are facing brutal ferocity in the modern era. An advocate for asylum seekers, Angelina Jolie with understanding, empathy and compassion has made huge impact for the cause. In a recent post by Angelina on social media, she shared the letter of an anonymous and desperate Afghan girl, her shattered dreams and plea to Jolie for rescue, freedom and mobility from the terrifying situation in her country, reflects that people have high level of trust in her. Afghanis regard her as the potential saviour of the people and she is their trustworthy companion in these scary times.

The abrupt failed mission has aroused resentment and its sad negative outcome has moved all, Angelina Jolie without any political leaning remains completely unbiased, fair and shares the heart touching stories of the Afghan people on public platform. She is willing to confront the heinous injustice and unfair tactics being thrust on women and girls in Afghanistan. 

Angelina Jolie is a mentor, leader, friend and a great asset to the traumatized. In her heartfelt support to Afghans in their grief, as a contributing editor of ‘Time’, Angelina is firm and frank about ghastly fate befalling harmless people of Afghanistan.

 I think of every Afghan girl who picked up her bookbag and went to school in in the last twenty years even though she risked being killed for it-as so many were. I think of all the Afghan children and teenagers, now living in fear about the future. I will not turn away. I will continue to help. As an American I am ashamed by the manner of our leaving.

The actor, director and humanitarian activist, Jolie is mobilizing internal and external resources to aid those who have lost all their hope to live, and she is appealing for fortunate ones to contribute.

Jolie, a guardian angel with heart full of charity, Jolie is brave, thoughtful and caring, she has always supported girls and women, child immigration, harsh and practical problems existing in nations. A more specific approach of her universal activism empowers global gender-equality, fundamental rights and equality.


Angelina Jolie is a huge inspiration to everyone and her words motivate each one of us to join humanitarian causes more effectively. Her determination, persistence and resolve to achieve equal treatment and justice for community groups initiates global awareness. 

 In every way, the current Afghan regime’s mental rigidity, dogmatic thinking and outrageous manners are defined by medieval social and cultural history, fatal to humanity. Their nonsensical practice brings improper, unacceptable and restrictive regulations, inflicting pain on innocent civilian lives. The wide spread battering incidents and the traditional methods of control are harming communities. It’s the world’s serious dilemma that the locals face horrendous crime, violence and the greatest challenge of meaningless brutality in a civilized world. Jolie’s commendable contribution is centred on her experiences with victims, genuinely she assures the safety and welfare of humans. 

A fearless Jolie is a formidable provider and protector of people, against the tyranny of alarming proportions being meted on humanity. 


During these turbulent catastrophe events, Angelina Jolie with promising approach is helping in a meaningful manner and her comforting words bring positivity, assurance and confidence in tragic times, bringing hope and light to those who are engulfed in darkness.
